Enjoy! House: Ebisu
Welcome to Galaxy Go - otherwise known as Enjoy! House in Ebisu. And meet Go-san, its host and creator. With a wild Afro-mop, funky bug-eyed shades and a stunning collection of slinky shirts and spandex cycling pants, he is definitely one of the coolest dudes on the planet (and possibly in the entire Milky Way).

But evolution is the nature of the universe and Galaxy Go is no exception. Enjoy! House recently underwent a cosmic upheaval, and gone now is the smiley-face signboard downstairs. In its place is a simple green and black graphic logo bearing the words "Enjoy! House" - a now somewhat misleading signpost for the mayhem that remains inside.

Though the "Nepal collides with underground New York circa 1970" style at the casbah end of Enjoy! House remains pretty much intact, Go-san has moved with the seasons and completely spring cleaned the dance floor area. All the bric-a-brac that once haloed the bar is gone - but, I suspect, only to start anew, as bits and pieces of postcards and baubles have already started collecting afresh.

The most dramatic change is the chain and mirrorball heavens above, which leave one wondering just how many reflective surfaces one can fit into a microcosm.
